A celebration of the elements and the west Texas sun, the metal-lace pattern features the sun. Under the sculpture is a 12’ dia. granite medallion, etched with patterns of the four elements; in ancient traditions water is emotion, air is mind/thinking, fire is spirit, and earth is the physical. These patterns encompass the metaphorical student experience.
